Senior Frontend Developer About Us We are a growing product company building tools used by millions of job seekers and employers every day. Our frontend is the face of the product - performance, accessibility, and a clean component architecture matter to us. The Role We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to lead the frontend craft on one of our core product surfaces. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to ship features that are fast, reliable, and a pleasure to use. You will set the technical direction for your area and mentor mid-level engineers. What You'll Do - Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of complex frontend features in our React + Next.js codebase. - Own performance budgets - Core Web Vitals, bundle size, server-side rendering trade-offs. - Drive adoption of our internal design system; contribute new components and patterns back to it. - Write clean, well-tested TypeScript. Code review for the team. Pair on tricky problems. - Mentor 2-4 mid-level frontend engineers. Run a brown-bag every other week. - Partner with backend and platform teams on API contracts, GraphQL schema, and caching strategy. - Champion accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design. Required - 5+ years professional frontend experience. - Deep React expertise - hooks, context, suspense, server components. - Strong TypeScript - generics, conditional types, comfortable in a large typed codebase. - Production experience with Next.js (App Router preferred) or a similar SSR framework. - Solid grasp of web performance: Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, code splitting, caching. - Experience contributing to or maintaining a component library / design system. - Demonstrable mentorship - tech leading a small team, running design reviews, etc. Nice to Have - GraphQL (Apollo or urql) at scale. - Testing experience with Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright or Cypress. - A/B testing or experimentation framework experience. - Open source contributions. - Experience with monorepos (Nx, Turborepo) and large-codebase tooling. Location & Work Remote-friendly within the EU. Office hubs in Berlin and Amsterdam - travel a few times a year for team offsites and planning weeks.
